About Us

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Benton, Illinois, a congregation of the American Baptist Churches of the Great Rivers Region.

We join together as a loving and caring congregation of believers to worship, sing praises, experience fellowship, and to reach out to the surrounding community and world to show God’s love to others. The foundation of our beliefs is the Bible and example of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

We have Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Worship service is at 10:40 a.m. each Sunday.

We offer activities for youth, and Children’s Church can be provided when needed. The women’s mission circle provides fellowship and an outreach to missionaries and various mission projects. Our choir is outstanding and is an important part of our worship experience. A nursery is available, and van service is provided by calling 618-438-7661. Our church facility is handicap accessible.

Come join us for a loving and inspirational worship experience at 201 South Main.
